Intraosseous Lipoma of Distal Tibia

Abstract
The intraosseous lipoma is a rare primary benign tumor of the bone. It consists of mature adipose tissue containing bony trabeculae. It is a radiographic illusion; computerized tomography and histopathological examination is required for its confirmation. We here in report a case of rare localization of intraosseous lipoma of distal tibia in a 38 year old female presented with pain and swelling in left leg. Treatment was done with extended curettage and filling the cavity with cancellous bone graft and calcium triphosphate with satisfactory outcome.
