We report a case of an uncommon injury: a combined avulsion fracture of the greater and lesser tuberosity in the proximal humerus. Standard radiographs permitted the diagnosis and CT scans confirmed the absence of a shoulder dislocation. The fracture of the tubercles was treated by internal fixation. At 24 months of
follow-up, the patient was able to walk without pain and radiographic result was excellent. |
