Fibroma or fibrothecoma (F/FT) commonly represents solid ovarian tumors and typically T2-shortening lesions on MRI, which can mimic uterine leiomyomas, Krukenberg tumors, and so on. Because most cases of F/FT are unilateral and single, bilateral and multiple localization is rare. Bilateral and multiple F/FTs can be misdiagnosed on imaging because a Krukenberg tumor often shows bilateral hypointense tumors on T2-weighted images, as do F/FTs. It is important to diagnose multiple T2-shortening lesions of bilateral ovaries precisely in order to avoid misdiagnosis and more invasive treatment. Herein we report a case of multiple FTs of bilateral ovaries preoperatively diagnosed by MRI.
